Introduction
Welcome to the North East region of British Mensa. The region extends from somewhere in rural Lincolnshire to the Scottish border, and from the Pennine crest to the North Sea coast. So we've got everything; mountains, dales and coast, large cities and cute villages, lots of empty spaces in between....and you.
There is a lot going on in the region, as you will see from the 'What's On' section of this site, the meeting notices in the Mensa magazine or the back page of Spotlight Nor'east, our regional newsletter. It might not be happening near you, so you may need to be prepared to travel a bit, or alternatively, you might like to help us make something happen where you are. Any member is more than welcome to plan, organise, host or help with any meeting anywhere. Get in touch with your nearest Local Secretary (or me) and we'll see what we can do.
If you want to find out (or find out more) about any aspect of Mensa, please ask me, by phone, letter or email. Or even......come along to a meeting and meet me! If I don't know or can't help, I may very well know someone who could.
I am the Regional Officer for this region, which basically means that if we can't find anyone else to blame, it's probably my fault.
